The first piece in a set of piñatas inspired by installation art and buildings of London. This pickle is inspired by the Gherkin building and meant to represent the communication confusion as an American in the UK, where chips mean fries and the Gherkin means a huge building, not a pickled cucumber.

Llerena Aguirre is a Peruvian born artist. He has published drawings, illustrations and woodcuts in international journals, books, magazines, several children’s books, and newspapers. Carlos directs and produces independent documentary films and video art from his Miami-based in-house studio.
He represented Peru and the USA with his woodcuts in the Norsk Internasjonal Grafikk Biennale, Norway. The Jubilam X Internationale Grafik Triennale, Norway The Large Format Print Biennale, Venice Italy, and The Xylon Graphische International Triennale, Switzerland. Hawaii Print Biennale.
Recipient of the Frans Masareel Centrum artist in residence in Belgium, artist in residence in Printmaking Italy, Venice, Italy and the TAKT BERLIN artist residence in the summer of 2016. And a solo show in 2017 in ICPNA, Lima International Printmaking Biennale. Book published www.woodandsteel.us
He holds an M.F.A., in Cinematography from the University of Miami; an M.F.A., in Painting, an M.Ed. in Art Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign , an M.A., in Printmaking from Hunter College C.U.N.Y, and a B.F.A. in Advertising Design from the School of Visual Arts.
